Terms of Service
Last updated: April 28, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a contract between you and Work Task Flow LLC("Aerlon", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using Aerlon, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an Aerlon account. By signing up, you confirm that you are 18 or older.
If you are creating an Aerlon Junior profile for a child, you confirm that you are the child's parent or legal guardian, that you authorize Aerlon to collect and process the child's data as described in the Aerlon Junior Privacy Notice, and that you accept these Terms on behalf of the child.
You may not use Aerlon if you are barred from doing so under U.S. law.
2. The service
Aerlon is a web-based study tool for FAA Private Pilot ground school. We offer two tiers:
- Aerlon Pro — adult-focused study with full access to lessons, quizzes, gamification features, and AI-narrated content
- Aerlon Junior — kid-friendly version inside a parent-managed account
We may add, modify, or remove features at any time. We aim to give reasonable notice for material changes.
3. Aerlon is supplemental — not FAA-approved
This is the most important section. Read it carefully.
Aerlon is a supplemental study tool. It is NOT an FAA-approved training course and does NOT satisfy any FAA training requirement, certification requirement, or hour requirement. Aerlon does NOT replace, substitute for, or supplement the formal training required to become a certificated pilot.
You must obtain all required pilot training from a certificated flight instructor (CFI) and from FAA-approved sources. Always consult current FAA publications (PHAK, AFH, FAR/AIM, ACS, Aviation Weather Handbook) directly.
While we make reasonable efforts to keep our content accurate and current, aviation knowledge changes, and our content may at any time be incomplete, outdated, or contain errors. Do not rely solely on Aerlon for any flight, training, or certification decision. Always verify aviation information against current FAA sources and your CFI before acting on it.
You agree not to use Aerlon as a sole source of training, as a substitute for a CFI, or in any way that would compromise the safety of an actual flight. Aerlon is not liable for any decision, action, or outcome resulting from your use of the service.
4. Your account
4.1 Sign-up
You must provide a valid email address and create a password. You're responsible for keeping your password confidential and for everything that happens under your account.
4.2 Account security
Tell us immediately at hello@aerlon.io if you believe your account has been compromised.
4.3 One person per account
Each account is for one person (or one parent + their Junior pilots). Don't share your login.
4.4 Junior pilots
A Junior profile inside your account is your child for whom you are legally responsible. You agree that you have the authority to create the profile, accept these Terms on the child's behalf, and consent to the data collection described in the Aerlon Junior Privacy Notice. You can manage, review, or delete Junior profiles at any time from /family.
5. Subscriptions and billing
5.1 Pricing
Aerlon offers the following plans (all prices in USD):
- Aerlon Annual — $89.00 per year (adult tier)
- Aerlon Annual — Early Bird — $75.00 per year (introductory rate for early subscribers; the $75 rate is locked in as long as you remain continuously subscribed)
- Aerlon Monthly — $11.99 per month (adult tier)
- Aerlon Junior Annual — $39.00 per year (parent-managed kids tier)
- Aerlon Junior Monthly — $4.99 per month (parent-managed kids tier)
- Aerlon Pilot Family Bundle — $119.00 per year (combines adult Aerlon + one or more Junior pilot profiles in the same parent account)
- Aerlon Lifetime — Founders Edition — $249.00 one-time payment for permanent adult-tier access (no recurring billing). Lifetime access does not include Junior tier features unless a separate Junior plan is purchased.
We may change prices for new subscriptions at any time; existing subscribers won't see a price change mid-term without notice. Lifetime customers keep their access regardless of future price changes.
5.2 Free tier
Aerlon offers a free first unit. Beyond that, paid subscription or a Lifetime purchase is required for full access.
5.3 Billing
Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing or purchasing Lifetime, you agree to Stripe's terms in addition to these. We do not see or store your payment card information.
5.4 Auto-renewal
Subscription plans (Annual, Monthly, Junior Annual, Junior Monthly, Family Bundle) renew automatically at the end of each billing term unless you cancel. You'll be charged the then-current price on the renewal date. The Lifetime plan is a one-time purchase and does not renew or charge again.
5.5 Cancellation
You can cancel anytime from your account billing settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep access until then. We don't prorate refunds for partial periods unless you qualify under section 5.6.
5.6 Refunds
We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for first-time subscribers. Email hello@aerlon.io within 14 days of your first charge and we'll refund the full amount. After 14 days, refunds are at our discretion. We don't refund renewal charges as a matter of policy — please cancel before the renewal date if you don't want to be billed.
5.7 Failed payments
If your payment fails, we'll retry over a few days and email you. If we can't collect, your subscription will pause and you'll lose access to paid features until you update your payment method.
5.8 Taxes
Prices don't include sales tax, VAT, or similar. If applicable, taxes are added by Stripe at checkout.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or scrape the service
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) without written permission
- Share your account or attempt to circumvent the subscription
- Upload or transmit malware, exploits, or harmful code
- Harass other users on the leaderboard or impersonate others
- Use Aerlon to break the law or harm others
- Use Aerlon Junior in any way that conflicts with the parental responsibility you accepted in section 4.4
We can suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation, with or without notice. We'll refund unused subscription time on termination unless you violated these Terms in a way that wouldn't reasonably justify a refund.
7. Content and intellectual property
7.1 Our content
Aerlon's lessons, questions, explanations, app design, code, and brand are owned by us (or licensed). You get a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use them while your account is active. You don't get to redistribute, repackage, or republish our content.
7.2 Public-domain sourcing
Our questions are derived from public-domain FAA sources (PHAK, AFH, FAR/AIM, ACS, Aviation Weather Handbook). We do not use FAA test bank questions or copyrighted prep material.
7.3 Your content
You don't really upload anything to Aerlon (no images, no posts). Your quiz answers, profile details, and gameplay state are yours. We use them only as described in the Privacy Policy.
7.4 Feedback
If you send us suggestions or feedback, we can use them freely without owing you anything.
8. AI-generated content
Some Aerlon content is generated or assisted by AI. Narration audio is synthesized using Google Cloud Text-to-Speech. Lesson questions are drafted with AI assistance and reviewed by certified flight instructors before being shown to learners. Like any study material, AI-assisted content can contain errors. Always cross-check important aviation information against current FAA sources (such as the PHAK, AFH, or current FAR/AIM) and consult a certified flight instructor for any decision that affects real flight operations.
9. Disclaimers
Aerlon is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties — express, implied, and statutory — including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy of content.
We don't warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that bugs will be fixed. We don't warrant that content is correct, current, or complete. We are not liable for the consequences of relying on Aerlon.
Specifically: Aerlon's content is for study only. Never make a flight, training, or certification decision based on Aerlon content alone. Always verify with current FAA publications and your CFI.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aerlon's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or (b) $100.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, even if we were warned about the possibility.
Some jurisdictions don't allow limits on warranties or liability — in those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted.
11. Indemnification
You agree to defend and hold harmless Aerlon, its officers, employees, and contractors from any claim, loss, or cost (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your use of the service in a way that causes harm to others or breaks the law
- Your child's use of Aerlon Junior under a profile you created
- Any decision you make based on Aerlon content
12. Termination
You can close your account anytime from settings. We can suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or for legitimate operational reasons. On termination:
- You lose access to the service
- We delete or anonymize your data per the Privacy Policy
- Sections that should survive termination (sections 7, 9, 10, 11, 13, 14) survive
13. Governing law and disputes
13.1 Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Missouri, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
13.2 Informal resolution first
If you have a dispute with us, email hello@aerlon.io and we'll try to resolve it within 30 days.
13.3 Binding arbitration
If informal resolution fails, most disputes will be resolved by binding arbitration, not in court. Arbitration is governed by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) Consumer Arbitration Rules. The arbitrator can award the same damages and relief that a court can; arbitration awards can be enforced in court.
Carve-outs (where you can use a court instead of arbitration):
- Small claims court for claims that fit
- Injunctive relief for intellectual property disputes
13.4 Class action waiver
You and Aerlon agree that any dispute will be resolved on an individual basis only, not as part of a class action, collective action, or representative proceeding. If a court finds this class waiver unenforceable, the entire arbitration clause becomes void.
13.5 30-day opt-out
You can opt out of arbitration and the class waiver by emailing hello@aerlon.io within 30 days of first agreeing to these Terms. Include "Arbitration Opt-Out" in the subject. Opting out doesn't affect your other rights.
14. Changes to these Terms
We can change these Terms. If we make a material change, we'll notify you by email and post the updated Terms with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the service after the change means you accept the new Terms. If you don't accept, your only remedy is to close your account.
15. Miscellaneous
- Entire agreement. These Terms plus the Privacy Policy plus the Aerlon Junior Privacy Notice (if applicable) are the entire agreement between us.
- Severability. If a section is unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
- No waiver. Our not enforcing a right doesn't waive it.
- Assignment. You can't transfer your account or these Terms. We can.
- Force majeure. We're not liable for failures due to events outside our reasonable control.
